Skill Hire partnered with Georgiou to deliver a pre-employment program aimed to recruit 5 Aboriginal workers in the company.
Skill Hire identified 15 Indigenous people in Perth and tailored a 4 week pre-employment program with a focus on the civil construction industry.
The program covered aspects of Georgiou’s key operations; team building; goal setting; sessions with key Georgiou staff to develop relationships with the Indigenous candidates and clarify expectations of the job; mentoring; measuring and calculating; and tours to Georgiou’s Precast operations in Malaga and an infrastructure project in Ellenbrook.
Georgiou has offered 4 permanent employment places from this initiative.
