Course Information

Pre-Vocational Courses – short course designed to give participants an opportunity to learn some basic hand skills; OHS training and practical work experience. The aim of this course is to assist participants into an apprenticeship.

Pre-Apprenticeship Training – Certificate II in Construction Pathways (CPC20208)

Skill Hire offer pre-apprenticeship training in both Carpentry & Joinery, and Bricklaying. The pre-apprenticeship training offers participants the opportunity to learn skills in the trade area in which they would like to gain an apprenticeship. The course includes a component of work experience and is run over a period of 16 weeks.

Apprenticeships – Skill Hire WA is a major trainer of apprentices for both Carpentry & Joinery, and Bricklaying in WA. Apprenticeships in these trades are completed over a three year period and include both on-the-job and off-the-job training. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a National recognised qualification.

Traineeships – Skill Hire WA is a training provider for traineeships in Certificate II in Construction (CPC20108). Traineeships are completed on-the-job and we will visit trainees in their workplace to offer training and assessment. This traineeship is generally completed over a 12 month period and eligible employers may gain subsidies to offset the training costs for a trainee.

Certificate I in Construction – Skill Hire WA offers fee for service training over a 5 week period where participants may gain a basic knowledge and skill set for the building and construction industry.
