Indigenous Remote Service Delivery Traineeships
The traineeships have been developed in recognition of the significant barriers to employment and training in remote Indigenous communities. In Western Australia, targeted schools and Indigenous child care services will receive assistance, via Skill Hire, to create structured, supported and sustainable pathways to work and training for young Indigenous people in these communities.
The traineeships will combine practical work with structured training to give trainees a nationally recognised qualification and the work experience they need to access sustainable work opportunities in areas where there are otherwise limited job opportunities. There are approximately 34 traineeships available in Western Australia through this program.
