Skill Hire is a Job Placement registered company.

What is it?

A Commonwealth Government progam to assist people that are registered as unemployed with either Centrelink or the Job Network agencies to find on-going employment.

Job Placement provides an employer-focused recruitment service that meets the recruitment needs of employers and provides the opportunity for eligible job seekers to gain employment.

What dose it mean to business?

You do not pay a recruitment fee. The Government do.

The benefits of this service are -

• No cost to the employer - As Skill Hire get paid by the government for this service, there is NO charge to the company;
• Data base of candidates is made available by DEWR - Our consultants can match your vacancy and get a list of suitable applicants.

The WA labour market is very tight at the moment and this has had a severe impact on the number of people available to be referred under the JP licence.

The current skills shortage has had an impact on this service.

As an employer, if you have a definite requirement for particular skills and decide to use this service in this labour market, there will probably be very few people referred to you. Skill Hire will use this service. However Fee For Service maybe a better option to look at for your recruitment solutions.
