Job Placing Leads to 'Dream Job'

After a number of successful employer visits, a relationship was established by one of our Skill Hire Employment Consultants with a local City Council.  The City Council was so impressed with the service provided by the staff member that they engaged Skill Hire to fill a position for their Aged Care Sector.

A jobseeker who had been working with her Skill Hire consultant to address her employment barriers was successful in gaining the position.  Her skill set was suitable for Aged Care but the area that she wanted to work in was Business administration.  Even though this placement was not her ‘dream job’ the applicant demonstrated motivation and enthusiasm and continued to be supported by her Skill Hire consultant.

The jobseeker’s work ethic so impressed the employer that they decided to open up a position for a business administration traineeship within their Human Resources sector.  They offered her the opportunity of the traineeship which would enable her to complete her advanced diploma in Business and work in her preferred field.
