Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy
Skill Hire
has a strong background in community service and as our business has grown, we
have maintained a strong emphasis on our responsibility to be a company with a
conscience. For Skill Hire, every aspect of business has a social dimension. To
this end, our commitment to responsible business practices is implicit in a
number of our key policy documents including our Vision and Values, our Code of
Practice and other company policies. Our Strategic Plan focuses on the
responsibilities we have in the community which we believe will enable us to
achieve our aim of being an industry leader in training and employment.
Accordingly, we have decided to formalise our intention to remain focused on corporate social responsibility (CSR) as a key tool to guide our business decisions. To achieve this, we have decided to bring together our core principles into our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Strategy which will cover all areas of the company's operations.
We have grouped our effort in this Strategy into four key areas:
- Community
- Indigenous
- Environment
- Workplace
The Skill Hire Board of Directors supports the principles set out in this Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy which will be underpinned by a set of internal guidelines and standards that provide a common ethos for Skill Hire and provide practical decision making principles for our managers and employees on the ground.
VISION
What sets Skill Hire apart from our competitors is the outcome driven nature of our approach to CSR. We will pioneer new industry benchmarks in ethical decision making. We will lead a new approach to Australian CSR in the training and employment services sector through developing new standards relating to environmental balance and Indigenous socio-economic development.
