Why is it of interest to the Employer?
School based traineeships provide employers with additional labour at a low cost. Employers have time to assess student´s suitability for prospective full time employment or apprenticeships. Employers have the opportunity to train their chosen students to the skills the business require.Because students undertaking school based traineeships are paid for their hours worked under the national training award, they tend to be more committed to their learning.
Employers also receive financial assistance from the government to help meet the costs of training and all this with the support of the school and the parents involved.
