CPCCWHS1001 – Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry
Why get a White Card?
Anyone working within the construction industry in Western Australia and other states of Australia are required by law to have completed the White Card training. Training is delivered over a full day focusing on the importance of occupational health and safety, legislation, mandatory safety procedures and safe working practices required on a construction site. There will be practical demonstrations, oral questioning and a theory based knowledge test for all participants attending the training.
Expect to learn
Students can expect to learn about mandatory work health and safety requirements prior to undertaking construction work such as: Work Health and Safety (WHS) Legislation; Rick Management; WHS communication and reporting; Incident and emergency procedures and safe working practices.
Upon successful completion you will be issued with a nationally recognised statement of attainment and a hard copy White Card, which will be registered with the Department of Commerce – WorkSafe. You must carry this with you whilst working in the construction industry.
