Unique Student Identifier (USI)

From 1 January 2015 all students undertaking nationally recognised training delivered by a Registered Training Organisation will need to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).

A USI gives you access to your online USI account. The USI account will contain all of your nationally recognised training records and results from January 2015 onwards. One of the main benefits of the USI is that you will have easy access to your training records and results throughout your life.

The USI account can be accessed online from a computer, tablet or smart phone anywhere and anytime. It is free and easy for you to create your own USI online – go to usi.gov.au and follow the prompts.

Please refer to usi.gov.au for full terms and conditions.

  • All students enjoyed their time at Skill Hire very much. Students were excited to see the end result, but were just as excited to demolish it!

  • Working with Skill Hire was an absolute joy! Our students enjoyed an unsurpassed opportunity to learn and develop skills that supported their career aspirations. Trainer, Wayne Sutherland managed a full team of 15 students with ease and aplomb! The opportunity to engage with on-site works meant that our students have now had a real experience of these trades and feel more confident in their ability to succeed. A few students are keen to continue their trade studies with Skillhire and we wish them all the very best. Thankyou so much for the opportunity to take part in Try-A-Trade and SOP

  • A HUGE thank you for organising the Try-A-Trade for our students. All three teachers have come back to school absolutely buzzing about what the boys achieved in those three days and what a fantastic program it is. They also said the trainer was amazing and worked so well with the boys. It has taken me two years to get just one of these off the ground and am hoping this may be something we can try every year.

Thank you so much and can you please pass on my thanks to the Trainer.
